Serious But Stoppable
Although gum disease is terribly pervasive, it’s also preventable. Conservative estimates report that up to 80% of people unknowingly have some amount of chronic gum disease. What’s worse is that this disease is responsible for up to 70% of adult tooth loss. Part of the problem is that the early signs of gum disease are both silent and serious, requiring a dentist’s trained eye to detect, treat, and arrest the tell-tale gum inflammation and infection. However, once arrested, you can prevent gum disease from recurring…simply by developing healthy hygiene habits.
Several factors contribute to periodontal disease: plaque build-up, heredity, and lifestyle choices. By far the most common and controllable factor is bacterial plaque– the sticky, colorless film produced by normal oral bacteria. Unhindered, they release toxins that break down the natural fibers holding your gums to your teeth, allowing even more bacteria and toxins to invade. Over time, this process can permanently damage or destroy the affected tooth, tooth root, and even the jawbone! Further, plaque deposits quickly harden into calculus or tartar– a rough, porous, gum-irritating substance that brushing will not remove.
Besides poor oral health habits, your poor lifestyle choices can affect your body’s ability to fight infection or increase irritation in the gum tissue area. Poor nutrition, poorly managed stress, leukemia, AIDS, and diabetes all reduce your body’s natural ability to ward off periodontal disease. Smoking and chewing tobacco greatly irritate the gum tissue, setting it up for disease. And finally, some people are simply born with a low resistance to gum disease. All of this explains why we carefully check for the warning signs at every visit: red, swollen, tender, or bleeding gums, gums pulling away from teeth, loose or separating teeth, pus between the gum and tooth, persistent bad breath, bite changes, and/or a change in the fit of partial dentures. These symptoms are overlooked by most people, making regular dental exams even more important.
Teeth Whitening in Dallas, Texas
Is your smile dull, tarnished, and boring? Over time, chemicals in food, beverages, and tobacco can alter the color of your teeth, as can the effects of aging and some medications. Teeth whitening is a safe, effective way to give your smile dazzle and pizzazz!
Teeth whitening is perhaps the most popular cosmetic dental procedure. There are many off-the-shelf teeth whitening options available that are usually limited in effectiveness and require regular use to see the benefit. The teeth whitening options offered by Dallas dentist Dr. Christian provide longer lasting and more effective teeth whitening results.
After a thorough examination of your oral health, Dr. Christian can recommend the best tooth whitening option for brightening your smile. If you’d like the convenience of whitening your teeth at home, we can create customized teeth whitening trays for you. Wear them for an hour a day, and in a week or two you’ll see dramatic results.
We also offer the Zoom! teeth whitening system at our Dallas office. The painless Zoom whitening process can remove the toughest stains and create a spectacular smile in just an hour in-office. With proper brushing and flossing and occasional at-home touch-ups, your teeth can remain pearly white for years after Zoom whitening.

Strong, beautiful porcelain veneers can transform your smile into a work of art. These thin, semitranslucent shells are bonded to the front of your teeth to close gaps and mask stains, chips, cracks, or other damage. Porcelain veneers resist stains better than natural teeth and with proper care can last for years.
To design your dental veneers, we will evaluate your facial features, symmetry, skin tone, then listen to your goals and expectations. If you see smiles that appeal to you in magazines or websites, bring photos to your appointment so that we can help you identify the aspects that you like and apply them to your new smile. Our digital imaging system allows you to see predicted results of your new smile before committing to porcelain veneer treatment. Once we decide on the design, a ceramic artist will handcraft your porcelain veneers with the finest light-reflecting materials. The permanent dental veneers will be placed in a follow up appointment at our Dallas office, when Dr. Christian transforms your smile and your image in a matter of minutes.
You can have the smile of your dreams with amazing, strong, handcrafted dental veneers. Dallas dentist Dr. Christian can help you understand your options. Call our Dallas, Texas office today or fill out our contact form to learn more about dental veneers or to schedule a porcelain veneers consultation.
Dallas Texas Porcelain Crown Expertise
Do cracked, worn, or decayed teeth make you self-conscious when you smile? Dental crowns fit snugly over damaged teeth to enhance their appearance and restore structural integrity. Beautiful, life-like porcelain crowns can give you a whiter, healthier smile that you’ll be ecstatic to share.
For the most natural-looking smile, we recommend all-ceramic dental crowns. With our precise color-matching system in our Dallas office, we can find the perfect shade of porcelain to blend with your natural teeth color. You will be surprised how much a porcelain crown can look, feel and function like a natural tooth. In areas of intense pressure such as molars, a porcelain crown will not do as well. For these we may suggest porcelain-fused-to-metal dental crowns.
We can design, fit, and place your custom dental crowns in just a couple of appointments. Once a dental crown is placed, you can care for it as you do your natural teeth.
If you have been told that you need a porcelain crown or if you have extensive decay, tooth pain, or damaged teeth, call our Dallas Texas office today or fill out our contact form to schedule a dental crown consultation with Dr. Christian. We will return your smile to complete comfort and beauty.
Missing teeth destroy quality of life, but you don’t have to live with an incomplete smile any longer. Restore full oral function with dental implants: eat roast beef, corn on the cob, and caramel apples with confidence! Dental implants provide a strong, beautiful alternative to bridges, partials, or full dentures. They will enhance your smile and improve your lifestyle. Implant dentistry will enable you to eat and drink the foods you love most and talk, laugh, and smile with complete confidence. Dallas dentists Dr. Christian is a dental implant expert and can help restore your smile using implant dentistry.
A dental implant is a titanium anchor attached to the jawbone that holds a dental crown, bridge, or denture in place. Because it has a false root and false crown, a dental implant closely imitates nature and functions like a strong, solid, natural tooth. After your thorough oral evaluation, Dr. Christian will determine whether you are a candidate for implant dentistry.
The first step is oral surgery to implant the titanium post into the socket left by a missing tooth. Once the dental implants are secure, handcrafted, permanent dental crowns are permanently attached at our Dallas office. The final dental implant restorations will look completely natural and blend with your surrounding teeth.
To learn whether dental implants are right for you, call Dallas Dental Concierge Center in Dallas, Texas or fill in our contact form to schedule an implant dentistry evaluation.
It’s All About Dental Sedation
Does visiting the dentist make you anxious? You’re not alone. Dental fear is a common phobia that keeps about 50% of Americans from getting the dental care they need. Dr. Christian understands that dental phobia is real and often debilitating. Some patients experience only mild dental anxiety, but it results in years of avoiding dental appointments. As dentists certified in oral conscious dental sedation, Dr. Christian can help you overcome dental phobia and anxiety to get the care you need with complete peace of mind.
Sedation dentistry alleviates anxiety so you can face dental treatments with confidence. Depending on your needs and medical history, sedation dentists Dr. Christian will prescribe an appropriate oral medication for you to take before your visit. Dental sedation allows some treatments that normally require several visits to be completed in just one appointment.
For more extensive dental procedures, intravenous (IV) sedation will let you rest comfortably while receiving care. We tailor the sedation dentistry to your specific needs and monitor you closely to assure your safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
For both oral and IV dental sedation, arrange transportation to and from your appointment. If fear of the dentist keeps you from the dental care you need and deserve, call our Dallas Texas office or fill in our contact form to learn how sedation dentists Dr. Christian and Dallas Dental Concierge can help ease you through any procedure. Sedation dentistry is one more way that we give you 5 star service.
Dental Laser Technology
Dental care has been transformed by dental laser technology, enabling Dr. Christian to perform many treatments more precisely and efficiently than in the past. Laser dentistry also offers a minimally invasive alternative to traditional oral surgery, so patients are more comfortable during and after treatment.
A dental laser generates a highly concentrated beam of light to quickly and accurately locate, cut, or remove specific tissues. Our DIAGNOdent dental laser helps Dr. Christian detect cavities while they are small and more easily treated. With a soft tissue dental laser, Dr. Christian can gently remove bacterial infection from the gums or reshape gums to create a more pleasing smile. Dental lasers are also used to cure bonding materials and activate teeth whitening gel.
If you have questions about dental laser technology, please call our Dallas, Texas office or fill out our contact form. We enjoy treating our patients with 5 star service and laser dentistry helps us enhance your care and comfort.

Dentures by the Dallas Denture Expert
No one has probably told you about the variety of options you have besides dentures. We fit clients with dentures all the time (and you’ll see some amazing ones in the next section). But we want to make sure you know that your options may be much wider than you thought.
Dentures can replace missing teeth and provide structure to the face. A dental implant supported denture can also help reduce bone loss in the jaw. Dentures help resolve many issues that come about from missing multiple teeth such as speech difficulties, eating, muscle and form loss in the face and even bone deterioration. Dr. Christian, a dentist in Dallas, is a denture expert and can help you have a beautiful and functional mouth with dentures. She will also let you know of other options available to you besides dentures to restore beauty and function to your smile.

These cosmetic dentures are so good, they even fool other dentists!

How does it work?
Unclench your jaw to become a better athlete. You are “hard-wired” to clench your jaw. When you tain and compete, your natural reaciton is to clench your jaw. It’s part of the “flight or fight” wiring of your brain. Your clenched jaw and teeth compress your temporomandibular joint (TMJ), triggering the release of excess amounts of performance-sapping hormones (like cortisol) that produce stress, fatigue and distraction. UA Performance Mouthwear helps the human body help itself by unlocking the power of the jaw. Patented AmourBite tm Technology prevents your teeth from clenching and pivots your jaw slightly forward to relieve pressure on the TMJ. Thus, decreases the excess negative hormones and the energy draining effects, so the body can now unleash its full potential.
Independent studies conducted at some of the nation’s top universities and research centers have proven the undeniable advantages of UA Performance Mouthwear. UnderArmour Performance Mouthwear has been featured in The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, The Journal of American Dental Associaion, SLAM, Iron Man Magazine, Golf Week, Soccer Reviews.com., PGA Tour Network Radio.
