Preventing Jaw Injuries

- Wearing a seatbelt
- Wearing appropriate footwear and winter weather.
- Wearing a mouthguard when participating in contact sports
Small children are particularly susceptible to facial and mouth injuries. If you have a small child, be sure she is supervised at all times. You should also use gates to keep her from accessing stairs and other areas where she could easily fall and hurt herself.
